Lemon–Ginger–Turmeric Drink

Description
This simple drink blends lemon (vitamin C), ginger (warming spice), and turmeric (curcumin-rich root) to create a bright golden tonic. Many people enjoy it before bed or first thing in the morning as part of a healthy routine.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced

1 tablespoon fresh turmeric or ½ teaspoon ground turmeric

½ lemon, sliced (or juice from ½ lemon)

2 cups water

Honey (optional, 1 teaspoon)

Black pepper (1 pinch, optional – helps turmeric absorption)

Instructions
Heat water in a pot and bring to a gentle simmer.

Add ginger and turmeric.

Simmer for 10–12 minutes.

Turn off heat, add lemon slices or juice.

Strain into a cup.

Add honey only after the drink cools slightly (if desired).
