Ingredients (Serves 4–5 doses)
2–3 inches fresh turmeric root, sliced
2–3 inches fresh ginger root, sliced
1 lemon, sliced or juiced
1–2 tsp black peppercorns (helps curcumin absorption)
½ cup raw honey
1 ½ cups hot water (not boiling — to preserve honey’s enzymes)
Optional additions:
A pinch of cinnamon
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Extra lemon zest for flavor
Instructions
Heat water until hot but not boiling.
Add sliced turmeric, ginger, and peppercorns. Let steep 10–15 minutes.
Allow mixture to cool slightly (warm but not hot).
Add lemon slices/juice.
Stir in honey until dissolved.
Pour into a jar.
