Alfalfa is especially useful at the end of the season when most of my vegetables are no longer very fresh.
(By the way, don’t be fooled by the unreliable methods used by egg factories, and don’t feed your hens corn. Although corn can give the yolks that beautiful golden color, it has little nutritional value.)
After a few weeks, you’ll get so used to seeing orange yolks (just like most of us get used to yellow ones) that you’ll even forget they’ve changed color. Buy eggs at the store and crack them open.
