8 slices soft white bread
2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced into even rounds
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
4 lettuce leaves (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Wash the tomatoes thoroughly and pat them dry. Slice them into medium-thick rounds so they hold their shape inside the sandwich. If using lettuce, rinse the leaves and dry them well.
Step 2: Spread the Mayonnaise
Lay the bread slices on a clean work surface. Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread. The mayonnaise adds creaminess and helps balance the acidity of the tomatoes.
