Why You’ll Love This Recipe
It’s really, really easy to make! All you need is your trusty Air Fryer, some pantry staples and under 15 minutes.
It’s so versatile. Use air fried shrimp as a filling for your homemade tacos or add them to your salad bowl.
Unlike my Air Fryer breaded shrimp, this one’s low carb and gluten free too- perfect for those with dietary restrictions.

Recipe Ingredients

Shrimp: Peeled and deveined. I chose to keep the tails on here, but you can remove them if that’s what you prefer.
Olive oil: To help the seasonings stick to the shrimp.
Seasonings: I kept it simple and just used a bit of chili powder, garlic powder and my favorite Italian seasoning. Sometimes, I like to add my homemade poultry seasoning too.
See recipe card for quantities.

Variations
For a citrusy zing, add some lemon juice and lemon zest into the marinade. I did this when I made my Air Fryer lemon garlic shrimp and they turned out SO delicious.
You could also use the seasoning from my Air Fryer blackened salmon bites recipe to marinate the shrimp- it’s just addictive!
Season the shrimp in salt, pepper, honey and mustard along with a dash of olive oil to make the best honey mustard shrimp. This one’s inspired by my Air Fryer honey mustard salmon recipe.

Serving Ideas & Suggestions
I love whipping up this Air Fryer shrimp as a weeknight meal along with a simple vegie side like my Air Fryer asparagus or Air Fryer frozen green beans. You can also pair it with my favorite Air Fryer spaghetti squash to make it more filling, or toss it into your simple salad or grain bowls to bump up the protein.

Sometimes, I serve these with my Air Fryer quesadillas, some Air Fryer honey garlic chicken wings and an assortment of dips and sauces. They’re always a crowd pleaser!

Recipe Tips & Tricks
Be careful not to overcook the shrimp- check the Air Fryer basket at the 6-7 minute mark. Overcooked shrimp can be really tough and chewy, and you don’t want that.
The cooking time will depend on the size of the shrimp and the kind of Air Fryer you’re using. Larger shrimp may take an extra minute to cook and smaller ones can cook quicker.
To make the shrimp crispier, add some cornstarch along with the seasonings. I did this when I made my Air Fryer tofu.
To make cleanup easier, line your Air Fryer basket with a silicone mat or parchment paper liners.
Team up your leftover air fried shrimp with some Air Fryer peppers and onions to make the easiest shrimp fajitas!
