Load Up Right. Be sure when you are placing them in the basket, you have the pizza bites in a single layer. This ensures they will be crispy when they finish cooking. Stacking or overcrowding the basket can cause them to cook unevenly.
Batch Cooking. My air fryer easily makes 25 pizza rolls at a time. You may be able to cook more or less, depending on the size of your air fryer.
Serving. These crispy pizza rolls are great for snacking or for a hungry crowd. I serve with them my favorite sauce for dipping, like pizza sauce. They are good to eat plain or try other sauces such as ranch dressing, salsa, and cheese sauce.
Using Parchment, a Liner, or Spray. I cooked my pizza rolls directly in the air fryer basket and they came out perfectly—no sticking or burning. If your basket isn’t nonstick, lightly brush it with olive oil instead of spraying the rolls themselves (cooking spray can affect the flavor). Parchment liners are fine as long as they’re perforated to allow airflow.
Storing and Reheating
I find these so easy to make from frozen, which means I only make what we need. This way, they are always nice and hot and crispy and I don’t need to save leftovers!
Refrigerator: If you do have leftover pizza rolls, store them in the refrigerator for up to five days.
Freezer: Return the bag of uncooked pizza rolls to the freezer to save for another time.
Reheating: Pop your leftovers back in the air fryer for a minute or two, until they are crispy again.
